Defecating Egg Stand
We at Tacky Living have a great aptitude for sophomoric humor, as ably demonstrated by this project. When suitably decorated, a small plastic egg placed atop a band of paper becomes a monster attending to its sanitary needs.
This project would be suitable for ... well, nowhere, really. It's incredibly tasteless. However, it might be fun to make for Easter, birthday parties (think "memorable party favor") or any other occasion in which you wish to horrify people a bit.
Supplies:
- One or more small plastic eggs, approximately 2 1/2" tall
- Permanent marker (If making this project with real eggs, we do NOT recommend using permanent marker. Instead, substitute food-safe materials.)
- Our downloadable toilet and leg pattern or construction paper
- Clear adhesive tape
- Scissors or craft knife
Making the monster:
- With a marker, draw jagged hair and a couple of eyes on the top half of one egg.
- If desired, add a line for posterior cleavage (aka a "butt crack") on the back bottom of the egg.
Making the toilet:
- For each toilet, cut out one pattern strip along the dotted lines or cut a strip of paper approximately 7 x 1".
- If not using the downloadable pattern, draw on a flush handle.
- Overlap the ends of the strip by about 1" to make a circle. Tape them in place.
- If using the downloadable leg pattern, color in the legs as desired and cut them out with scissors or a craft knife. Otherwise, draw your own legs and feet; they should be about 2 - 2 1/2" long.
- Fold over about 1/4" at the top of each leg. Place the fold over the top of the toilet band and tape it to the band.
Finishing the egg stand:
- If desired, fill your monster with treats.
- Place him atop the "toilet", stand back, and wait for the startled comments!
