Do people even take a good look at this site before they send requests for link exchanges? Look at the email I got this morning:
Hello,
I'm the webmaster of (snip). We have a collection of useful
and relevant resources on web site. I looked at tackyliving.com and I would be delighted to get a link there since you have wedding resources.
If you want to link back to us, just insert this short HTML code on your web site and we will reciprocate promptly:
At least this request is more literate than most. However, if you were a vendor of frou-frou wedding dresses, sparkly rings, or overpriced bouquets, would you really want your business associated with a site like this one that features things like cigarette lighters dressed up as a wedding party? And more to the point, what relevance does this business have to Tacky Living's readers, unless one considers weddings inherently tasteless?
Don't even get me started on the emails promising to enlarge my non-existent male member, or offering to ship me bales of straw cowboy hats. (Evidently there's a region of China where the factories specialize in straw cowboy hats, a really frightening concept if one thinks about it too much.)
Just for this, I'm going to come up with the most gawdawful wedding craft I can for June. Something even worse than the cigarette lighters.
